Government House

Government House (Morne Fortune) – this is the official residence of the Governor-General of St. Lucia, representing one of the few remaining Victorian-era structures on the island (built in 1894 (after a hurricane destroyed the original House in 1817). It is located on the crest of Morne Fortune (near Castries).

Within Government House itself is Le Pavillon Royal Museum, which houses important historical photographs and documents, artifacts, crockery, silverware, medals, and awards; original architectural drawings of Government House are displayed on the walls.
