La Toc Battery Fort
La Toc Battery Fort (Castries Harbour) – this is an old fort, which guarded Castries Harbour. It has four levels of tunnels, underground rooms, communications room, bunkers and artillery storage. Visitors can see what life was like for the British soldiers who defended the island against the French during the 1800’s. The views of the Castries Harbour are majestic and one can only wonder what it must have been like for soldiers on guard to look out over the waters for impending threats of approaching enemy ships on a daily basis.
