St. Lucia Jazz Festival

St. Lucia Jazz Festival (various locations) — this is an international jazz event that’s held every late April-early May (during a time when the tourism season normally winds down). Outdoor concerts are held at the historic Pigeon Island National Landmark (park), along with other scenic vistas across Saint Lucia.

Even though the emphasis is on jazz artists like Branford Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, and George Benson, Top 40 pop, R&B/soul, and Hip Hop artists have also performed there (such as The Jacksons, Akon, R. Kelly, En Vogue, Santana, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, The Isley Brothers, UB40, Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, Luther Vandross, Trey Songz, Rihanna, Elton John, John Legend, Ne-Yo, Amy Winehouse, Ciara, Boyz II Men, and Smokey Robinson). This event ranks #1 on the list on the E! Entertainment Channel’s top 5 Festivals in the world. See the Festival’s website for more details: www.stluciajazz.org
